That's a (Faux) wrap folks

Did you like that dad joke?
It is fathers Day here after all.

This is a quick and dirty post about a quick and dirty dress.

This is Mccalls 6713

Fun Fact: Whenever there is a 99c sale on the Vogue patterns website, I stock up.
Its cheaper to buy 5 patterns with shipping from the USA than it is to get one Vogue pattern from the local spotlight. Amazing.

I try to buy things that are different instead of going for the old fitted bodice/full skirt combo that I enjoy so much...
So when inspiration is lacking, It is just a matter flicking through the several million patterns in the sewing room until one strikes my fancy.

Uh oh... Rain...

Anyway...
I got this feathered jersey from work and wanted to sew it up immediately.
A quick pattern rummage for something knit suitable unearthed this faux wrap frock. Whilst the wrap dress is usually not my favoured style (Hello big boobs), I thought it would be perfect for the fabric.

Modesty please!

I left of the skirt frilly flappy thing and sewed up a straight size 10.
It took from 5-7pm. done.

Pattern: Mccalls 6713
Fabric: Feathered Poly Jersey
Time: Just over 2 hours. Bam!

Over and out
xx

Yeah I am guilty of speed sewing. I need to bust out an idea as soon as it comes... or it goes into the UFO box of shame....
